Sunday
Dear Mother,
Please be human for a minute and talk to me about what is bothering me? I know you weren't raised that way, but that doesn't mean you can't care. I can't talk to anyone here because you're all emotionally shut off. I hate it. I need someone who understands, or who can at least sympathize with me. My heart hurts. Stop being a mother and be a mom.
Friday
Recently...
For the past 3 nights, I've dreamed in Prison Break.
I keep having mini breakdowns.
I want my life back.
I only get a budget of $100/month.
Looks like somebody needs to get a job.
Just something funny...
This is my friend Spencer and his friend Richard wrestling on the tramp between GC sessions.
Notice how they turn into complete girls...

Hi, I'm Laura, and I'm an Addict. . .
Have I mentioned just how much I love, love, LOVE Prison Break??
Like, L-O-V-E.
Dr. Sara Tancredi is my hero.
She's a boss.
I'm currently in the middle of season two.
And I'm in love.
Obsessions...Addictions...Your Call
The following is what has been consuming my full attention for the last week or so:
Prison Break
Facebook
and, of course, Blogging!
It's all I do.
Srsly.
I have no idea how the time flies by when I've only got these three things to entertain me.
What are your vices?
Tuesday
What's Up Right Now
Making nachos. Mom's ironing board is serving as a third counter top while she is away.
[Shhh...don't tell her]
Jer made me some no bakes and now has ice cream out...I'm SO tappin' that noise when my cheesy chips are all gone.
[I eat waaay too much.]
Watching NCIS: LA or whatever. The one with LL Cool J.
[How about let's watch some Prison Break, instead?]
[How about let's watch some Prison Break, instead?]
Nachos are done....holla!
me, me, ME!
I've had a lot of fights with my sister as of late, nothing new, I know, but some of them have had to do with me "being selfish". At first, I thought, "That was awfully selfish of her to accuse me of being selfish. Just because I wasn't thinking of HER, that makes ME selfish." And that used to be the case, back when I had other people to consume my thoughts and attention, and not just her. But now that I have no one to hang out with and I'm stuck with just my family's ugly mugs, I have been thinking primarily of me. Which is the basis of people getting upset with me. It's survival of the "fittest" in this family. We are a very impatient, short-tempered people who expects everyone else in the family to do for us whatever we ask them to, and when that doesn't happen, we get angry very quickly.
I've been doing a lot of thinking in the slow-passing time here and I've realized that what you put into your relationships is what you will get out of them. So I'm going to try to be more charitable towards the family members. It won't be reciprocated for a while, if it ever does, but it will surely help me be happier...hopefully.
I've gotten too used to people depending on my presence for their day to be complete. Now that that's not the case here, I'm floundering and wondering why nobody cares to see me. Maybe, if I make them love me, then I can gain that status back.
Worth a try, no?
Maybe I can talk to Jerica [fat chance] and get her to see my side of the story too...
I'll keep you updated.
Linens and Gravity
by Meghan Wolf
Pumped a lot of blood
Drew as many breaths
As there are eyes in heads
Took a lot of turns
burying the truth
that this too will end.
Held a lot of hands,
some of them my own.
None for very long.
Called a lot of crimes
what had to be done,
simply to survive.
Spilled a lot of time
Trying, trying, trying to save some
more of the time.
Now I go a different way
trying trying trying to take some
some of the time.
I still hate the things I need,
A place to sleep, linens and gravity
A dying sun
and someone to hold my mind for me
Lost a lot of love,
trying trying trying to find some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying trying trying to let some
find me.
Lost a lot of love,
trying to find
some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying to let some find me.
I hate that every yes to something
means no to every everything else,
but I like coming home to you
where the world seems to know its place.
Lost a lot of love,
trying to find some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying to let some find me.
(find me)
Lost a lot of love,
trying trying trying to find some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying trying trying to let some
find me.
Monday
from Cara....
"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't ever suppose to let you down, probably will. You will have your heartbroken probably more than once and it's harder everytime. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing by too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back."

Just open your eyes and see that life is beautiful.
Sunday
I Went to Make Toast Tonight
Here's a tale of a sad occurance in my night:
I went to make toast tonight
when much to my surprise,
the bread I adored with delight
had suffered it's demise.
I beheld the empty bag
with all it's contents strewn about.
(something that goes and rhymes with bag)
and so I began to pout.
I assumed it was my family
Who had enjoyed it with their Sunday meal,
OKay, I'm sick of this iambic pentameter business, I'll tell it to you straight.
So I confronted my mother on the matter and she said that they hadn't eaten it with dinner but she found the last two pieces of my precious bread all crusty-crust and hard in the toaster. Someone had carelessly left it there TO DIE!! So she threw it out to the cats. Rip my heart out.
So I got all sad and put on a pouty face and, with a dramatic-crying voice, I said "That was the only thing I had left from Boise!" as I stormed out of the room. I put other bread in the toaster and got my raspberry jam out of the fridge and realized, "Hey! I still have this from GH*!! (nearly**) happy day!!!"
The other bread was really good, but still has nothing on GH.
*Great Harvest
**i still felt cheated out of my bread.

Photoshop
It's magic! I've always loved playing in this program, I even took a graphic design class where I learned how to use Photoshop. I have since then forgotten pretty much everything about the program, even though I own it. I was talking to my friend, Tanner last night and he showed me a neat little technique that I don't think I will get bored of very quickly. It's a layer overlay, and here's what it looks like:
This is Tanner's work
It inspired me to do this...
Creepy, but I like it :)
I'm even thinking about coloring my hair brown
What do you think?
