Linens and Gravity

by Meghan Wolf

Pumped a lot of blood
Drew as many breaths
As there are eyes in heads
Took a lot of turns
burying the truth
that this too will end.
Held a lot of hands,
some of them my own.
None for very long.
Called a lot of crimes
what had to be done,
simply to survive.

Spilled a lot of time
Trying, trying, trying to save some
more of the time.
Now I go a different way
trying trying trying to take some
some of the time.

I still hate the things I need,
A place to sleep, linens and gravity
A dying sun
and someone to hold my mind for me

Lost a lot of love,
trying trying trying to find some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying trying trying to let some
find me.
Lost a lot of love,
trying to find
some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying to let some find me.

I hate that every yes to something
means no to every everything else,
but I like coming home to you
where the world seems to know its place.

Lost a lot of love,
trying to find some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying to let some find me.
(find me)
Lost a lot of love,
trying trying trying to find some
everywhere.
Now I go a different way
trying trying trying to let some
find me.
