Hey Crew,
So I've been home for two months as of Tuesday.
It feel like a lot longer!
In the last two months, what have I accomplished?
I've had two jobs, so that's pretty good! I've moved back to Boise, have been here for 1 month, and living with two awesome girls; Victoria and Miranda. We have fun. I've made quite a few new friends, thanks Jesse Fusselman! And I'm still hanging out with Mandrew like all the time. He's got himself a girlfriend now. And it's not like all his previous girlfriends where he was just dating them because he's lonely...he's dating her because he
really really likes her. Like, really.
He's got a heart now, because of her. And I hope you read this one day, Nancy! He has feelings
and he expresses them. He's got all these ideas on dates and things he wants to do with her because he likes her
that much. Enough to take her on a real, actual date and put a lot of thought and planning into it.
I was talking to Mandy's roommate yesterday. He asked "Have you ever seen him like this?" Not in my 3 years of knowing him, I have not, ever. Not once! He told me something that Andrew said...be prepared for this one. They were talking about hearts and Andrew said "Mine's in Africa" (which is where Nan is right now, teaching orphans how to sew). Now, if you know Andrew at all, you will know that that is the sappiest thing he could have ever said. Ever. Seriously. Dude is head over heels for this girl. I can see why, she's awesome, but I'm just blown away by it.
It's cute and really weird.
And that was a tangent I did not expect to go on.
Life is good right now.
My job? Oh! right...me...
Well, I'm working at a dog kennel in Meridian. I love it! I get paid to play with dogs...and clean cat pee. Granted I work the overnight shift on the weekend, so I don't get to do the fun weekend things like parties and bon fires and late nights with people that have to work during the week so they only get to stay up late on the weekends.
But it's fun. And shortish term. Maybe. So it's good.
Except, because I work overnights, I have to make sure I get sleep. Like last Saturday.
I wasn't supposed to work, I had traded with a girl earlier that week. She called me at 7 pm Saturday night and said she couldn't cover for me. Her baby daddy's father had killed himself the previous night. It wouldn't have been a big deal but since I wasn't planning on having to work, I didn't sleep at all that day. I was on the go all day getting things done and hanging out with Andrew and Kristen. Running on one hour of sleep in two days is fine when you have a relaxing day, but when you have to work on that...it just flat out sucks!
So she called me at 7. I was at Andrew's, so I had to drive home and try to get as much sleep as possible. And because it was still bright at mid-day outside, I could not get to sleep! I got maybe one hour of sleep and that was it. One hour.
Needless to say (suck it Jillian), I had a really rough time at work. I can't tell you how many times I dozed off. But one in particular:
I had put a couple of dogs outside in the yard, we have patio furniture, so I sat down in one of the chairs to just rest my over-tired body. Next thing I know, I'm waking up to a door shutting and a man saying "Were you sleeping?" haha! uh...yeah...
Good thing he really doesn't care that much. He's a pretty cool guy. I race him down Eagle sometimes. He just doesn't know it, and that's how I win.
I stayed mostly awake the rest of the night, but it was tough, for sure!
I love my job! Although I could use another one.
Onto the pictures! This weeks throwback is from Guelph. January to May 2012. Featuring Steve, Sis. Casner, and Sis. Fabiano. OH, and the rice krispie cube.
