The other day, I was hanging out at my sister's house with her husband and their two-year-old daughter, Olivia.
You know the whole "terrible twos" stage? Yeah, Livi has flashes of that. One of the terrible things she does is throw things at her mom's face.
The other night, Kristen was trying to get Liv to do something that, naturally, Liv didn't want to do. She was holding her "Lamby", which is just a plush lamb toy. She chucked it and hit Kristen in the face.
Kristen, with a shocked look on her face, immediately shot down that behavior by sternly saying "No ma'am!" and then continued to discourage the bad behavior by picking up Lamby, chucking it and hitting Olivia in the face, just as she had done to Kristen.
Mom of the year, award.
Don't worry, they have a great relationship and all was quickly forgiven.
